Our mission
Type 1 Diabetes Taranaki is a welcoming support network for everyone affected by Type 1 diabetes. From children and teens to adults, as well as the incredible parents, spouses, and whānau who support them, we provide connection, understanding, and community. Together, we share experiences, learn from each other, and celebrate the strength and resilience of living with Type 1 in Taranaki.

Resilience – We celebrate the strength and determination of our community, encouraging persistence, hope, and positivity.
Our team
The dedicated committee and volunteers of Type 1 Diabetes Taranaki play a vital role in supporting our community. They plan and run events, coordinate support programmes like Tuakana Teina, and provide guidance and encouragement to families and individuals living with Type 1 diabetes.
We also host an annual AGM, where anyone in the community is welcome to attend, share their ideas, and even join the committee. Through these efforts, our team helps create a stronger, more connected, and informed T1D community across Taranaki.
